It's becoming a real house

The framing is pretty much finished & they did the sheeting for the roof. It's starting to look like a "real house." Last Thursday the doors & windows were delivered & most of the windows have already been installed.

Happy Anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband of 4 YEARS! I know this really has nothing to do with our home building process....but now that I think about it, it sort of does. With all of this extra excitement, stress, & decision making, I'm happy to say that there is nobody else I would rather experience this with. I can't wait to move into our new home & make many more happy memories. Love you!!

Floors

We had an appointment a few weeks back to pick out our floors, counter tops, carpet, & tile back splash for our kitchen, bathrooms & laundry room. Out of that hour and a half long appointment, we only accomplished two things...our hardwood floors & carpet. We are going back this Wednesday to hopefully finish picking everything out. Our carpet is a tan color. This will go in our living room, bedrooms, & the stairs. We upgraded to have hardwood floors in our entry, dining room & kitchen.

Let the Framing Begin!

Last week they began framing the house & boy are they moving fast! They should be finished this week. It's finally starting to look like an actual house. We brought Vedder up there last night & he was running around like a crazy dog. He loved it so much, he even broke it in by marking his territory in the Great Room with a big dookie. I volunteered Sam to clean it up :)

So many colors...so little time

With in the next few weeks we have to decide on our exterior house color. I never knew this could be so difficult!! This is definitely something you just know you like when you see it. Having to choose from the smallest swatch of colors for an entire house is nearly impossible!! Here are some color options we like so far. If we only knew what colors these really are, this would be such an easier process.

Breaking Ground

Last week they began digging the hole & pouring the foundation. Sam & I love going up there every few days to check on the progress & see how quickly they are moving along. There's no turning back now!!

It's Official

We sold our home & are moving to Eagle Ridge Development! After almost 2 long strenuous years of searching for the "perfect home," we finally decided to build. We went back & forth between locations, floor plans & builders, but have finally come to an agreement. We couldn't be happier! Our new home should be finished by January. I can't wait to start the whole building process.
